My name is Katherine Hill, and I am a student photographer, though not necessarily a student of photography. Instead, as an Anthropology Major at the University of Montana in Missoula, I pursue photography as a passion outside of my formal education. Despite my decided status of “hobbyist,” I am determined to continue learning and improving within this one of my many chosen crafts.

I have been nurturing this interest in photography since 2008, when the city of Minneapolis and I began a passionate and very visual love affair. I have a fondness for all things organically urban and industrial, for history and architecture, and especially pursuing portraits in these settings. Portraiture is very quickly becoming one of my favorite kinds of photography.

At this point, what you see here on KHphoto is more or less a photoblog documenting my adventure in those favorite areas of mine and hopefully some new ones. It serves as my collection of Portrait and Urban Photography from various locations, though most notably from the Minneapolis, MN, and Missoula, MT areas. I am eager for experience and looking to expand my portfolio, and would be happy to work with you to achieve an image we can both take pride in.
